Values & Identity of Duckfeet

Duckfeet's minimalist design, its use of superior, durable materials and sustainable production methods makes available a shoe comfortable enough to walk you through decades.

In the seventies and eighties, Europe was mad for the signature yellow foot-formed Duckfeet. Since then, Duckfeet have been popular on catwalks and sidewalks for more than thirty years now, and are still available for those who believe in craft, quality, design and sustainability.

Shoe care

Heavy upper leather, vegetable tanning combined with traditional chrome pre-tanning.
Midsole: 100% vegetable tanned leather.
Sole: natural rubber extracted in the tropics, further processed into shoe soles in Europe

Duckfeet recommend applying a thin layer of leather conditioner or shoe cream at regular intervals. Don't use too much at one time, better a little less and more often. Let the shoe cream sit a few minutes and polish afterwards with a soft cloth. Be attentive to edges and seams, which should also be treated to maintain the leather and protect your shoes against water. A shoetree is perfect for keeping a good shape.

Store Duckfeet shoes in a dry and airy place. If your shoes become wet, fill them with crumpled newspaper and let them air-dry. If the leather gets water stains, take a cloth and make the whole shoe slightly damp. Treat the leather afterwards as described above. Leather shoes should not be dried on a radiator – the leather becomes dried out and porous. Give your shoes a day's rest, so they can release the foot's moisture and dry thoroughly.

If the shoes get dirty, clean them with a damp cloth. Let the shoes dry thoroughly and treat the leather afterwards as described.

Crepe rubber soles can become hard, but this can be avoided by storing the shoes at a temperature of about 20-25C. If the soles become hard, you can place the shoes on a warm radiator until the crepe rubber soften again. Avoid contact with solvents. The rubber cannot tolerate it and can dissolve.
